Linux Release List has been updated for August 2016. What is usually dry month for gaming turned out to be pretty strong for Linux: a new Master of Orion has been released, new Worms, and plenty of well-received low-budget indie titles.
The news have been "dominated" (with a grain of salt) by Master of Orion, though I hesitated (a lot) to give it "a splash" on my site. Grand turn-based strategy is my genre of choice indeed, but in the case of MoO - first I've been waiting for GoG to release Linux build (to no avail), than I got distracted by all the cries of oversimplifications. If the new MoO is anything like Civ 5 in space, why bother?
Worms W.M.D. is the second high profile release of August 2016. It's been struggling for positive reception as well, but nevertheless it's a beauty compared to Hedgewars or (still my favorite in the genre) Scorched Earth.
